Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Asgard Rust game server, this website, our Discord server, and anything you buy from our store (together, "the Service"). By connecting to the server, joining the Discord, or making a purchase, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is run by Asgard Rust ("we", "us"), an independent community server. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Facepunch Studios Ltd. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios Ltd. Your use of Rust itself is governed by Facepunch's terms and by the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

2. Age

You must meet the minimum age to use Steam and Discord in your country (13 in most places). To make a purchase you must be at least 18, or have a parent or legal guardian make the purchase for you and agree to these terms on your behalf.

3. Rules, moderation and bans

The server rules are part of these terms. We can warn, kick, mute, time out, or ban any account, temporarily or permanently, when we believe a rule was broken, or when it's needed to protect the server, other players, or ourselves. We decide what counts as a violation. Ban evasion with another account results in every linked account being banned.

You can appeal a ban once, through a ticket in our Discord. We'll look at the evidence and reply. A ban, kick or wipe does not entitle you to a refund of anything you bought (see section 5).

You're responsible for everything done on your Steam and Discord accounts, including by anyone you share them with.

4. Purchases

Our store sells ranks, points, and other virtual items for use on the Asgard Rust server only. Payments are processed by our payment provider, PayNow, which acts as the merchant of record for your order. PayNow's own terms apply to the payment itself, and PayNow collects and remits any sales tax or VAT that applies. We never see your card details.

• Subscriptions. Monthly and yearly ranks and boosters are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Cancel any time from the PayNow subscription portal (checkout.paynow.gg/subscriptions). Cancelling stops future charges; you keep the rank until the period you already paid for ends. If a renewal payment fails, the rank is removed until it's paid.
• One-time rank purchases are kit tokens. A token gives you that rank's kit once, when you type /redeem in game. Tokens don't expire, carry across wipes, and never renew. A token is used up when the kit is delivered.
• 7-day boosters are one-time purchases that start when the order is delivered and end 7 days later. They never renew.
• Delivery. Items are delivered to the Steam account you signed in with at checkout, usually within a few minutes, even if you're offline. If something hasn't arrived after 10 minutes, open a ticket.
• Account bound. Purchases can't be moved to another Steam account.
• Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time. A price change doesn't affect anything you already bought.
• Stacking. Each rank includes the perks of the ranks below it. Buying a lower rank while you hold a higher one does not extend the higher one. Cancel the lower one if you upgrade. Points boosters do not add together; the highest one you hold applies.

5. Refunds and chargebacks

Because virtual items are delivered immediately and can't be returned, all sales are final once the item has been delivered, except where the law in your country gives you a right we can't exclude. If you were charged and nothing was delivered, or you were charged twice, open a ticket within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund the duplicate.

We don't refund because you were banned, because the server wiped, because a kit or perk was changed or rebalanced, because you stopped playing, or for the unused part of a subscription period after you cancel. If you forgot to cancel a subscription, contact us within 48 hours of the renewal and before using the rank, and we'll usually refund that renewal as a courtesy.

If you file a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us, we treat it as fraud: the items are removed, and the Steam and Discord accounts involved are banned from the server and the store until the dispute is resolved and any fees are paid.

6. Virtual items

Ranks, points, kits and other in-game items are a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use those features on our server. They have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be sold or traded outside the game. We can change, rebalance, rename or remove any item, kit, perk or command at any time, for example to keep the game fair or to follow a Rust update or a Facepunch rule. We'll try to tell you first in Discord. If we shut the server down for good, items end with it.

We follow Facepunch's rules for community servers. Nothing we sell unlocks paid Facepunch DLC or paid skins.

7. Your content

Anything you post in our Discord or send us (clips, screenshots, art, text) stays yours. By posting it, you give us a free, worldwide licence to show it and share it on our channels (Discord, website, social media) with credit, until you ask us to take it down. Only post things you have the rights to. Don't post anyone's private information.

We can remove any content for any reason.

8. Acceptable use

Don't cheat, exploit bugs, attack or overload the server or website, scrape the site, or try to get around a ban or a rate limit. Don't use the Service for anything illegal. If you find a bug or exploit, report it in a ticket instead of using it. Abusing an exploit, including any way to generate points, is a permanent ban.

9. Availability, warranty and liability

The Service is provided "as is", without any warranty. We don't promise it will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that your progress, base, items or points will be preserved. Wipes are part of Rust; see the wipe schedule.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or any loss of data, items, points or profits, arising from the Service. Our total liability to you for anything related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so some of this may not apply to you.

10. Ending things

You can stop using the Service at any time. We can suspend or end your access at any time, with or without a reason, including by closing the server. Sections 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11 keep applying after that.

11. Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and post in #announcements in Discord. Using the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, and any dispute will be handled in the courts there, unless the consumer protection law where you live says otherwise. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
